Jamie XX's album art work is so minimalistic and simplistic that it could look as if anyone had designed it, however simplicity is best and I really love the colours used across his records. The minimal use of geometry is very inspiring for me.
This highly minimal design has become so well known that it is instantly recognisable and connected with Jamie XX. It is almost like his own personal branding. I really think its great purely because it is so simplistic, but simplicity is often most effective when it comes to things like album cover design. I want to try and channel some of this simplicity into my own work, and take a leaf out of Jamie XX's book.
