My first sources of inspiration came from design related websites. The final publication must be positioned within the context of contemporary art photography books. I looked on the Village book-store site and image banks such as Pinterest to gain inspiration. I was paying particular attention to the treatment of the photography, the layout of the content, type decisions, use of white space and the general considerations that were made to the overall aesthetic. I also tried to find publications that were designed entirely monochromatic, as that was a vision I had for the aesthetic of my book from an early stage.
