OUGD504 - Brief 03 - Preparing Artwork for Screen Printing/Varnishing
I am planning on spot varnishing the cover of my publication with typography. I will use transparent or black ink to achieve the desired effects. In order to pull of this print finishing technique I will need to expose the type onto a silk screen down at the print room in other building of LCA. Below are the images that I am going to expose, and below the type are the cover designs that I am planning on spot varnishing with the black letter type. I am going to experiment to see whether having a purely typographic cover or a combination of type and imagery is appropriate.
