WHAT DO I CARE ABOUT? WHAT DO I
WANT TO CHALLENGE? WHAT DO I WANT TO COMMENT ON? WHAT TOPIC/ISSUE DO I WANT TO
SPREAD AWARENESS OF? WHAT DO I WANT TO SEE CHANGED?
CONSIDER THE ISSUE, THE SCOPE OF
IT, THE PEOPLE YOU WANT TO TARGET AND WHY, WHY YOU WANT TO EDUCATE/INFORM
PEOPLE ABOUT THE ISSUE? THINK ABOUT THE SCOPE AND WHAT THE BEST WAY WILL BE TO
ADDRESS THE SPECIFIC AUDIENCE...
BROAD TOPICS THAT INTEREST ME:
Spreading awareness of where food
actually comes from and the negative impacts our current levels of production
are having on the entire planet. It will be all about raising awareness, spreading
a more mindful, conscious approach to the consumption of animal products – I don’t
want to preach about becoming a vegan or veggie, just make people more aware of
the effects that our actions are having and will continue to have
Consumer society, throwaway
mentality/disposable society – waste management and the environmental impacts
of consumerism
TACKLING PLASTIC! Could do some
really cool compositions and typography made with plastics and waste in general
Tackling the massive issue of food waste in the UK! This is something I feel very strong about, especially on a national and local scale. I know of an organisation which is currently trying to promote a food smart mentality across the UK. They divert food which was destined for landfill and covert it to delicious and healthy meals. I could look into promoting and helping the cause through graphic design

Millennials – why do we get such
negative press? What are the stigmas and stereotypes surrounding us? What
issues do we face as a generation and how can we overcome them?
What does the future hold for my
generation and how can we better prepare ourselves?
Youth – my generation – mental health
stigmas are being abolished for us, but what can we teach to other generations
from being so open, liberal, progressive and positive about these dark issues?
LGBT – abolishing discrimination
within the community. This goes on and it really shouldn’t. There are gay men
who are homophobic; there are gay women who prejudice against people that
identify as Bisexual.
Gay rights in nations where
homosexuality is still a crime/illegal
Promoting equlaity for all genders, especially women and trans
Rebranding the LGBT flag?
Spreading and encouraging equality on a broader scale
Mental health should be treated
as serious as health of any other part of the body. It should be about
promoting HEALTH and positivity. What can I do as a young person to abolish the stigmas and negative stereotypes associated with various mental health conditions
Self esteem is something that is very important in this field. Spreading positive non-condescneing messages is going to be key in this department
How music culture has changed,
why it is perhaps not a sustainable change. What the future holds for the commercial
music industry in terms of illegal downloads, streaming etc
How relevant are traditional
beliefs to my generation?
The current immigrant crisis in
Europe – education is needed, raising awareness of the benefits they can
actually bring to the country – raise awareness of the suffering that is actually
going on
Cultural appropriation –
demystifying it, why is it bad, why should it stop, what is actually
acceptable? What are the alternatives/what can people do to be more culturally
sensitive?
