OUGD505 - Brief 02 - Research - Best Before Date Video

I came across this amazing executed video project from the Love Food Hate Waste project. It's highly witty and comical and makes direct references to a popular UK based TV show: Blind Date. It does require a fair amount of acquired knowledge on the behalf of the audience, but I appreciate this factor. They had a range of other really well thought out videos which communicate key pieces of information effectively and in a way that I can certainly understand and relate to.

We waste 4.2 million tonnes of good food and drink from our homes every year in the UK. And this doesn''t include the peelings or bones either - that takes it to a whopping 7 million tonnes a year. Love Food Hate Waste, a not for profit organisation in the UK, aims to raise awareness of the environmental issue (this good food and drink is responsible for the equivalent of 17 million tonnes of C02) and the cost (we throw away £470 a year from the typical household rising to £700 for a family) and offer easy, simple ways to avoid wasting food. We have great tips and ideas to help you make the most of your food.
